About the position Moula is seeking an experienced credit professional to join our team and contribute to delivering high-quality credit outcomes. In this role, you will use your understanding of business financials and cash flow, along with your underwriting expertise, to make sound credit and risk decisions. You will also play a key role in supporting internal teams and broker partners with clear, timely, and customer-focused service. Key Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end credit assessment process for loan applications up to $500,000 Review funding applications in line with credit criteria, lending policies, and risk appetite Apply sound judgement and consider alternative approaches to structuring credit solutions that suit individual circumstances Ability to communicate credit decisions and supporting rationale clearly to internal teams Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements, as well as Moula’s internal risk and compliance standards Conduct underwriting in compliance with AML/KYC, the Privacy Act, and all relevant legislation governing business lending Promote and contribute to a strong risk culture by reducing inconsistencies, preventing uninformed risk-taking, and ensuring accuracy in credit assessments About you Minimum 4 years experience in commercial credit, working with a range of business structures Demonstrated experience in reviewing business bank statements and assessing cash flow–based lending Current Delegated Lending Authority (DLA/CAL) Ability to support and mentor junior members of the team, assisting with all areas of the underwriting process Strong understanding of SME lending and business finance Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships High level of financial acumen, attention to detail, and follow-up Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment Reports to Credit Team Lead
