Your role at St John of God Berwick Hospital We have an opportunity for an experienced Environmental Services Supervisor to join our team, supporting us on a casual basis. You will be accountable and responsible for the management of all environmental caregivers to ensure a high-quality cleaning service is carried out throughout the hospital premises. This position will ensure environmental duties, inclusive of cleaning, inspection of patient rooms, common areas, control of supplies and equipment maintenance, are performed throughout the hospital following infection control guidelines, financial requirements, and hospital policies are conducted each day. The Position: Closely monitor productivity targets ensuring the WHPPD targets are achieved in line with correct daily rosters. Liaise with all environmental caregivers to ensure effective use of resources, caregivers, equipment and facilities. Actively support and participate in accreditation. Provide leadership and direction to all caregivers within the Environmental department, including Environmental Services Assistants and Waste Handlers. Provide resources to efficiently meet the Environmental department work hours, annual leave targets and service goals. Prepare rosters and leave schedules. Ensure team compliance with all mandatory training requirements, policies and procedures, customer service and infection control standards relevant to particular roles. You will demonstrate environmental services experience in the Health Care industry, preferably within a hospital setting. Your background will include managing a team, with a strong focus on staff development and training to ensure a high-performing workforce. Additionally, you will have proven experience in managing complex rostering and staff allocation systems, ensuring operational efficiency and optimal resource utilisation. To succeed, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of, and commitment to, quality improvement and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with diverse teams. Your ability to manage competing demands and meet tight timelines will be key to your success in this role. Additionally, you will bring sound financial management skills to ensure effective budgeting and resource allocation. We will offer you Salary: $50.23 to $52.37 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation.
