Description Overview of role: The Senior Safety Advisor provides specialist, enterprise-wide safety advice with a strong focus on contractor management. This role drives a culture of safety excellence by partnering with project teams to ensure safe delivery of works, compliance with safety requirements, and continuous improvement in contractor management. The position also provides expert guidance on construction-related safety matters, promoting leadership, accountability, and innovation across Coliban Water. Key Responsibilities: As our Senior Safety Advisor, you’ll be accountable for: Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Coliban Water’s Safety and Contractor Management Systems to ensure fit-for-purpose safety practices enterprise-wide. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and standards across Coliban Water. Lead initiatives to strengthen safety culture, promote wellbeing, and enhance safety capability through targeted training and engagement. Partner with Major Projects, Capital Delivery, and other teams to proactively identify, assess, and manage health and safety risks. Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and drive actions and learnings to prevent recurrence and improve safety performance. About you: Expert working knowledge and experience in Safety and Risk associated with major projects and construction (10 years ) Qualification in health and safety, risk management, or other relevant discipline, preferably at post graduate level. Strong knowledge of safety legislation, management systems, and contractor safety practices. Process Safety and Safety in Design expertise are desirable. Sound like you? We’d love to hear from you. Learn more in the position description Salary: The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 5 $115,162 - $139,851 Plus Superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
