The Financial Accountant, reporting to the Financial Controller, will provide high-quality, customer-focused general accounting services for The Star Sydney, ensuring timely delivery and full compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for our Finance team. A few of your responsibilities: Deliver core accounting services including journals, month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and tax support Support monthly reporting with balance sheets, reconciliations, and P&L analysis Prepare reporting packs for The Star Sydney and relevant business units Compile regulatory reports as required Resolve transactional issues and escalate when necessary Assist with accounting and reporting queries from business partners and teams What we are looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CA/CPA qualified or currently studying 3 years’ experience in a similar financial accounting role About you: You’re a detail-oriented and commercially savvy Financial Accountant with a passion for numbers and a strong understanding of the unique dynamics of the hospitality industry. With a solid foundation in financial reporting, compliance, and budgeting, you thrive in fast-paced environments where accuracy and timeliness are key.
