POSITION: CIVIL ENGINEER (Project Site Engineer) Job Type: Full - Time Salary : $70 to $75 per hour ABOUT THIS ROLE: The Project Site Engineer supports trade coordination, quality control, and technical issue resolution to achieve project goals. Duties include managing quality processes, RFIs, documentation, safety compliance, and record-keeping. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Senior Project Manager and Site Manager with onsite coordination and daily operations while upholding quality standards. Manage Quality Control System: prepare ITPs, organise inspections, comply with Hold/Witness Points, submit and review ITPs, monitor site quality, address non-conformances, and ensure Project Quality Plan compliance. Oversee and maintain the project’s document control system. Identify and help resolve technical issues, quality matters, and NCRs. Support timely completion of construction activities with a goal of zero safety or industrial incidents. Communicate effectively and professionally with project stakeholders. Maintain accurate, high-quality site records per DCOH IMS. Be conversant with project documentation: drawings, specs, schedules, programs, project plans, and correspondence. Ensure quality plan provisions are upheld; manage inspections and maintain construction standards. Resolve QA issues, enforce corrective actions, perform verification, and reject defective work or materials. Assist with preparation and submission of handover documentation. Provide reports and recommendations to the Senior Project Manager. 1. Occupational Health & Safety Duties Ensure compliance with the Workplace Health & Safety Act. Assist with safety procedure development and implementation. Promote safety awareness and lead by example. Identify training needs. Ensure safe use and maintenance of equipment/plant. Review safety audits/inspections and initiate corrective actions. Work with senior management to monitor subcontractor compliance with the Project Safety Plan. 2. Environmental Management Duties Meet site objectives/targets for Environmental Management. Implement and monitor erosion and sediment control measures. Action environmental reports and inspections. Investigate hazard reports and ensure corrective actions. Manage resolution of environmental issues. SKILL AND QUALIFICATIONS: A Tertiary Qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering Ability to develop knowledge of other engineering/construction disciplines and commercial functions including contract administration Ability to work independently and in a team environment White Card Full work rights 2. POSITION: CIVIL CONSTRUCTION SITE SUPERVISOR Job Type: Full - Time Salary : $85 to $90 per hour KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Site Operations & Performance Management Oversee and manage daily site operations, coordinating trades, contractors, and resources to ensure seamless workflow. Manage structural and other assigned work packages, ensuring progress aligns with established timelines. Monitor daily site activities, promptly resolving issues that may impact schedule or safety. Coordinate short-term work programs in line with the overall project schedule. Collaborate with team members to sustain an efficient and safe work environment. Maximise site productivity by ensuring subcontractor availability and effective scheduling. Continuously review and improve building practices to comply with HSEQ standards and project requirements. Ensure adherence to the Archaeological Management Plan. 2. HSEQ Control & Compliance Ensure all works comply with HSEQ standards, regulations, and specs. Identify High Risk Workshops (HRW), coordinate actions, and close-outs. Conduct safety checks and proactively address hazards. Apply cost and project controls to prevent overruns. Comply with DCOH quality processes (ITPs, NCRs, defect management). Assist with project audits and complete required inductions. 3. Stakeholder Communication & Coordination Serve as a key contact for subcontractors, consultants, and visitors during construction phases. Provide regular progress updates to the project team and report on milestones and challenges. Coordinate subcontractor schedules to optimise workflow and delivery. Foster a positive, collaborative culture emphasizing teamwork and customer service. Represent DCOH professionally, adhering to the Code of Conduct. 4. Risk Management & Problem Solving Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to site operations and schedules. Resolve disputes or conflicts on-site to maintain project continuity and relationships. 5. Project Reporting & Documentation Maintain accurate site records including diaries and documentation of work, materials, and site issues. Monitor project costs, reviewing, categorising, and addressing any discrepancies promptly. Review and sign daily dockets, assigning them appropriately to cost categories such as variations or latent conditions. 6. Leadership & Team Management Oversee site teams to ensure high performance and alignment with project goals. Support and mentor subcontractors and construction crews to meet timelines and quality standards. Build and sustain strong relationships with all project stakeholders. Promote accountability, teamwork, and ongoing professional development on site. SKILL AND QUALIFICATIONS: Trade/tertiary qualifications in construction or related fields. Proven Site Supervisor/Manager experience on large-scale ($100M) projects. Strong knowledge of building codes, safety, and quality processes. Proactive in managing activities, risks, and solutions. Effective leader with ability to motivate and manage teams. Excellent communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Strong organisational skills to handle multiple components. Proficient in construction/project management software and MS Office. 3. POSITION: CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR (BIM & Estimating Manager) Job Type: Full - Time Salary : $78 to $83 per hour KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Estimating & Cost Planning Prepare concept, schematic, and detailed cost estimates across project stages. Analyse designs, specs, and BIM models for accurate quantity take-offs. Maintain benchmarking data and unit rate libraries. Coordinate tender packages and cost breakdowns with Commercial/Design teams. Review subcontractor/supplier pricing vs. internal estimates. Lead value engineering and propose cost-effective alternatives. Support handover with key estimating and scope documentation. 2. BIM Management Implement BIM standards, workflows, and protocols across projects. Manage federated BIM models for coordination and take-offs. Lead clash detection, planning, and model reviews (Navisworks, Revit). Ensure version control and alignment with latest design documents. Provide guidance on 4D/5D BIM for sequencing and cost planning. Integrate BIM data into procurement, scheduling, and asset systems. 3. Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Management Integrate HSEQ requirements into estimating processes. Ensure BIM models reflect safety and compliance obligations. Comply with DCOH HSEQ policies, plans, and procedures. Maintain version control of estimates, models, and documentation. Support preconstruction/design audits to ensure compliance and improvement. 4. People, Culture & Stakeholder Management Promote collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence. Coordinate with internal teams (design, commercial, project management). Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to validate models and pricing. Represent DCOH professionally and ethically per Code of Conduct. ESSENTIAL: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, or related field. 7–10 years’ experience in estimating, cost planning, or BIM coordination in commercial construction. Proficient in BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks, Solibri, BIM 360) and estimating software (CostX, Buildsoft, Excel). Skilled in interpreting design docs and preparing accurate cost estimates. Strong knowledge of Australian market, subcontractor pricing, and cost drivers. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Detail-oriented with high data accuracy and quality focus.
