As a Commis Chef in our pastry Kitchen, you will be an integral part of the kitchen brigade, working closely with senior chefs to assist in preparing and presenting exceptional dishes. You will support the kitchen operations under the guidance of the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef - Pastry helping to maintain the hotel’s reputation for top-quality dining. In this role, you will learn and develop your skills across different kitchens, ensuring that each dish is prepared to perfection, in line with the Sofitel brand's luxurious and French-inspired culinary style. What You Will Be Doing: Prepare and present a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods Assist senior chefs in preparing and presenting dishes to the highest standards Learn and work across multiple kitchen sections, gaining hands-on experience in all areas Contribute to the preparation and design of new menus, focusing on quality, elegance, and seasonal ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, following strict hygiene and safety standards Support kitchen staff and help ensure smooth, efficient kitchen operations Assist with the preparation of food orders, ensuring timely delivery and presentation Be involved in inventory control and waste management to ensure cost-effective kitchen operations
