About the Role Part-time Position We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-driven therapy assistant to join our Parkview team. The following shifts are currently available: Week 1: Mon, Tue, and Wed -09:00 to 16:30 Week 2: Wednesday - 09:00 to 16:30 Successful candidate should be available to pick up additional shifts at Banksia-TCP to help cover any staff leave. Location Aegis Banksia Park has been designed to offer a broad range of accommodation and lifestyle options for all residents. Calista is a suburb surrounded by natural bushland. Aegis Banksia Park have used this connection to name each of the areas or wings after native flora. There are Acacia, Boronia, Grevillea, Waratah, Banksia and the recently renovated and extended Rosella and Myrtle. Aegis Banksia Park is an ageing in place facility and both High and Low Care accommodation is available in all areas. Acacia and Waratah offer specialist secure Dementia Care. As an integral part of the team, you will: Provide mobility and exercise programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Physiotherapist. Provide recreational and other Therapeutic activity programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Participate in the organisation and planning of Therapy programs. Deliver a range of Therapy-based activity programs as directed. Complete accurate documentation in line with relevant guidelines. Requirements of the role Hold a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent. A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience (Desirable but not essential). Have experience in a similar role preferred (Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant). Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities. Sound written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Have empathy with the elderly. Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance. How To Apply
