Role based in Parramatta/Sydney (other locations negotiable), with flexible/hybrid working environment. Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 - $142,665 superannuation. About the role We are seeking a skilled Senior Project Officer, Grants to manage the development, delivery, and administration of grants and funding programs that support NSW communities. In this role, you will ensure projects are aligned with best practice frameworks, meet government objectives, and deliver meaningful outcomes. You will be at the heart of project planning, stakeholder engagement, and performance monitoring, ensuring all that is invested drives real change. This is a targeted role under GSE Rule 26, and Aboriginal people are encouraged to apply. About You You are a confident project manager and grants specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. You will be successful in this role if you bring: Solid understanding of the full grants administration lifecycle—from program design to acquittal. Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, budgets, and reporting requirements. Strong knowledge of compliance, funding guidelines, and best practice grants management frameworks. Proven ability to plan, implement, and evaluate projects to ensure they’re delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain stakeholder relationships. A proactive approach to identifying risks, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement. Experience leading or coordinating project teams to achieve shared goals. Analytical skills to undertake research and provide evidence-based recommendations. A commitment to supporting NSW communities through effective funding and project delivery. Essential requirements: Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent expertise in a relevant field. About the Agency The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the RA) is a statutory corporation and executive agency of the Premier’s Department, that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster. To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders.
