Description About the Opportunity We are seeking a seasoned Claims Consultant, ideally with experience in motor settlement and/or recovery claims (experience in property claims would be a bonus) , where you will form part of an integral team of experienced Claims professionals, delivering a high quality of service to our customers. You will be confident in assessing the nature and extent of a claim and expert in negotiating the settlement of the claim, providing a seamless end-to-end claims experience for the customer. You will be surrounded and supported by a high-performing and warm team that will enable you to do your best work, where there is a high degree of integrity to help meet and exceed customer expectations. About You You will be a calm, confident and highly competent Claims Consultant that will: Be an expert communicator; empathetic nature; great listener – able to communicate concisely and tailor messaging (verbal and written) to their intended audience, which translates to high calibre reports/outcomes for our clients Be a problem solver and have a curious persona; searches for the root cause/s and proactively finds solutions throughout the claim journey Be intrinsically driven to provide highest level of customer service that is always thoughtful and timely Have a growth mindset that values continuous learning and absorbs new information and change with ease Be resilient and focused on achieving positive outcomes for your key stakeholders Key Requirements Deliver professional and excellent service when processing and negotiating claims, interacting with customers and clients Proactively communicate clear and accurate advice, solutions, timeframes and claim progress to all stakeholders Clearly document all decisions made and reasons and have meticulous attention to detail Previous experience working in claims management or general insurance Educated to Year 12 Certificate IV in financial Services (General Insurance Tier 1) preferred Willing to undertake further study and training as identified to grow and progress your career About Crawford Crawford is the world’s largest publicly listed claims management company operating in more than 70 countries.
