Description The Opportunity We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join us as Lead – Mental Health Services & Regional Integration. In this role, you will strengthen our capacity to lead regional mental health initiatives, including early intervention, suicide prevention, community capacity building, engagement, and relational commissioning. You will drive innovative, evidence-informed approaches to improve mental health outcomes across our region. Key Responsibilities Lead commissioning and service development - Manage the full commissioning cycle, from planning and procurement strategy to contracts, KPIs, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement. Develop regional quality improvement mechanisms – Create, lead, and facilitate initiatives that inform responsive procurement and commissioning practices. Embed Medicare Mental Health Centres and Phone Services, ensuring governance, performance monitoring, and service improvement. Collaborate with government, health providers, community organisations, and lived experience experts to implement joint planning and regional mental health solutions. Design and implement data collection and analysis processes to inform quality improvement and contribute to sector-wide reform initiatives. Foster team and organisational excellence – Provide day-to-day program coordination, maintain accurate records, and promote a positive, values-driven workplace culture. Skills And Experiences About You Tertiary qualifications in a health or human services-related field and significant experience in mental health services. Strong knowledge of local, state, and national mental health policies and ability to implement them regionally. Experience in service delivery, collaboratives, and working groups, including identifying gaps, prioritising needs, and implementing quality improvement initiatives. Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including government, community organisations, consumers, carers, and priority groups (LGBTIQ, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people, veterans, culturally and linguistically diverse communities). Strong project management skills, coordinating resources, meeting reporting requirements, and achieving project outcomes. Ability to work independently and as part of an on-site and remote team. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, including data collection, reporting, and evaluation. Why join us?
