About the team: The Communications team is responsible for internal and external communications. This is achieved largely through ANZCA’s digital channels (the website, bulk emailing and social media) as well as publications including the quarterly ANZCA Bulletin and mainstream media. ANZCA has a “digital first” approach to its communications utilising the college’s website as its core. About the opportunity: This role supports the Senior Designer and Designer in the Design and Communications team, in designing creative and engaging ANZCA collateral across print and digital mediums. This is a part-time role (4 days per week) reporting to the Operations Manager – Design and Communications. Your tasks would include; Create innovative graphic design artwork across various digital and print mediums working within style and branding guideines. Interpret and translate complex information into simple design messaging. Stay up to date with advances in technology and software to keep college design work contemporary and efficient. Build positive and trusting relationships with college staff, fellows and trainees, and external contributors. Exhibit excellent written and verbal communications skills – well presented, articulate, and engaging Consistently produce high quality work on a variety of projects either independently or as part of a small team. Keys to your success: This is an excellent role for an experienced design professional who has the talent and creativity to manage the end-to-end design process for projects. In-house design experience in government, higher education or healthcare would be advantageous. You will be a strong communicator who thrives on collaboration. Specifically, you will have: Essential Bachelor of Design or equivalent. Fully literate and technically sound in the Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro. Minimum of five years of design experience gained either within an agency or in-house environment A strong folio of design work, that shows ability to create innovative design solutions that adhere to stye guides. An intuitive designer who can digest content and present it clearly. A willingness to learn new skills and software as needed. Impressive reading, writing and comprehension skills with exceptional attention to detail and an ability to proof own work. Demonstrates sound judgment and good decision making. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is “quick on the uptake”. A friendly, supportive and professional team member and a team player who is respectful and able to move seamlessly between working with fellows, staff and other designers. A designer of integrity who behaves ethically and is trustworthy and reliable. Desirable Experience in Word and PowerPoint. Experience in a medical and/or education environment.
