Based at the NRG Gladstone Power Station, we are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as Team Leader Ash Operations - CQ. You will lead a high-performing team to safely maintain ash production and meet distribution demand. As the key point of contact for all NRG site operations and maintenance, you will ensure seamless communication with Cement Australia management, Power Station representatives, and SEQ counterparts. This role operates on a Monday to Friday day shift roster, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, with weekend work required once every four weeks. Your Opportunity As Team Leader - Ash Operations, you will: Have a relevant trade qualification. E.g. Boilermaker, Fitter or equivalent. Previous experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor Lead, coach, and develop a motivated and technically competent team. Drive a strong safety culture, leading by example and promoting SHEQ compliance. Manage daily operations, plant maintenance, and subcontractors. Monitor ash production, quality, and equipment performance. Liaise with Power Station personnel and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-spec deliveries. Identify improvement opportunities and implement cost-effective solutions. What You’ll Bring To succeed in this role, you will have: Strong leadership, safety focus, and problem-solving skills required. Computer Skills including MS Office Suite & SAP highly regarded Experience in a similar role with previous process operator maintainer experience is essential Previous experience in minor laboratory/QA testing highly regarded Forklift, scissor lift and EWP (Elevated Work Platform) Licences desirable Previous experience in operation of industrial control systems highly regarded Trouble-shooting ability and root cause analysis skills Ability and willingness to flex shift patterns and ash processing sites as required for breakdowns, leave or coverage - this includes weekend, public holiday work and call outs Why Join Cement Australia?
