Description The Opportunity We’re seeking a talented Public Relations and Communications Specialist to help raise the profile of Brisbane North PHN and strengthen our engagement with government, media, and key health stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement PR strategies to build the PHN’s profile in primary healthcare. Coordinate media liaison, communications, and government engagement activities. Write and edit high-quality content for publications, media releases, website, grants, and digital channels (including social media). Provide PR advice and communications support to internal teams and senior leaders. Record, monitor, and report on PR activities for internal and external stakeholders. Skills And Experiences About You You’re an experienced communications professional with strong writing, PR, and stakeholder engagement skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can balance big-picture strategy with hands-on delivery. To succeed, you’ll bring: Degree qualifications in communications, journalism, PR or related field (or equivalent skills and experience). Minimum 2 years’ experience in PR and communications. Strong media liaison, political engagement, and digital communication skills. Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality content across multiple platforms. Experience in communications planning and campaign delivery. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Desirable (but not essential): Experience in the not-for-profit or healthcare sector.
