About the Role We are seeking a HSE Advisor / Safety Officer to oversee operational site safety. This is a hands-on role that will involve monitoring, auditing, and improving safety systems to ensure compliance, employee wellbeing, and continuous improvement. This is a part-time position (2 days per week) offered on a temporary basis, with the potential to extend or move to permanency for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Review and amend SWMS as required Manage and deliver site inductions for employees Use and maintain reporting systems (Myosh & Safety Hub) Manage CM3 Certification for client sites Oversee fatigue management for employees Plan and run weekly toolbox meetings Manage and assess VOC requirements for Crane Operators & Dogman Conduct site audits of employees Manage harnesses and crane access safety equipment Prepare and submit monthly safety reports for clients Meet with client safety personnel and attend meetings as required Introduce new safety initiatives to improve business operations Key Selection Criteria White Card (mandatory) Current Police Check (within 3 years) Current First Aid Certificate Experience in site-based HSE roles within construction, resources, or heavy industry Strong knowledge of OHS practices and unionised site environments Familiarity with Myosh, Safety Hub, or similar reporting systems desirable Excellent communication, organisational, and reporting skills Ability to work independently and confidently engage with employees and client representatives How to Apply All applications MUST be received via the GBS Recruitment website (www.gbsrecruitment.com.au), Job 993423 and include a cover letter outlining your experience.
