Description About the Role As Room Division Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of our Front Office and Housekeeping. You’ll lead, mentor, and inspire your teams to deliver seamless service and unforgettable guest experiences, while ensuring operational excellence behind the scenes. Working closely with department managers, you’ll set the tone for efficiency, engagement, and high performance — ensuring that every guest leaves with lasting memories of the InterContinental experience. What You’ll Do Lead the Front Office and Housekeeping teams to deliver world-class guest service. Drive operational standards, productivity, and team engagement. Driving guest satisfaction scores and maintaining the hotel’s reputation for excellence. Collaborate with the General Manager and senior leadership team to achieve business goals and performance targets, including managing budgets, labour costs, and productivity targets. Support and develop department managers to reach their full potential. Maintain strong cost control and maximise room profitability. Play an active role in enhancing the guest journey from check-in to check-out. Act as the Hotel’s First Responder in emergency/crisis situations. Represent the Rooms Division within the hotel leadership team. What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a Front Office Manager, Rooms Division Manager or similar leadership role within a luxury or upper-upscale hotel environment is essential You’re a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. You understand what it takes to deliver five-star luxury with warmth and authenticity. You have strong communication and leadership skills and know how to bring teams together. You’re financially savvy and operationally sharp. You’re locally based or looking to relocate to the Mornington Peninsula area. You’re flexible and available to work weekends, public holidays, and as business demands require.
