The Company: A full service event and creative design agency with clients all over the world is looking for a new Events Operations Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This agency specialises in the design and delivery of in person, hybrid and virtual business events, conference and exhibitions. Position Terms: Permanent, Full-Time Role Working 3 days in the office, located in eastern suburbs Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 plus super Occasional interstate and international travel is required. The Role: The Event Operations Manager oversees the delivery of a range of different event and campaign types ensuring brilliant delivery while providing leadership, direction and support to the team of event managers, event coordinators, designers, freelancers and suppliers. This role reports directly to the Managing Director and will support the MD to lead and motivate the team while ensuring successful event delivery and key account management across a variety of clients. Key responsibilities will include; Engaging with clients from initial brief through successful execution of events Managing and leading a team of Event Managers, Coordinators and contractors Handling the prioritisation of work, solving challenges, staff training and development and working to identify operational requirements of the business This role will handle communications with clients, stakeholders, vendors and event participants Manage events nationally as well as globally for the agency ensuring all projects have the correct allocation of staff and resources to ensure the successful outcome of all events Campaign design and creation including working with the team to develop content, marketing and social media, as well as delivery of the marketing elements of the events Creative design of event environments, exhibition/demo rooms and overall theme of events Delivering virtual events with software development platforms and live streaming of events Management of conferences, business events, exhibitions, meetings and creative events Overseeing all necessary logistics for successful project delivery Manage the overall budget of events for the agency, ensuring Event Managers work with their clients to ensure budgets are met and requirements delivered Financial and supplier management of all project purchasing, spends and reporting The Candidate: The successful candidate will have previous experience working within an Events Agency or PCO as an Event Manager, Operations Manager, or Senior Event Manager. Experience managing teams and working directly with corporate clients is essential for this role. Exceptional client and supplier relationship management skills. Highly motivated and results driven with exceptional organisational skills Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills. Energetic, enthusiastic, innovative, inspiring and results driven. Be proactive and able to make decisions. Strong budget management experience. Sound judgement and decision making. Ability to travel interstate and internationally for events when required. Ability to work from the office at least 3 days a week, located in the eastern suburbs.
