Our client has a rare and exciting opportunity for a Hotel Manager - Rooms Division Manager to join its fantastic team in Hunter Valley. As the Rooms Division Manager, you will report to the Group Operations Manager and be responsible for leading our front office and housekeeping operations in two sites, Mercure Hunter Valley Gardens and Harrigan's Hunter Valley, whilst working cohesively with the other departments. Your key responsibilities Support and lead the front office operations and team. Facilitate a positive workplace culture through effective leadership, collaboration and team development. Close the loop on guest feedback with critical thinking and strong guest connections. Ensure daily front desk tasks and expectations are communicated, actioned and completed. Drive positive guest experiences, both individually and across your team. Manage the roster and payroll financials. Work with our Manager to maintain the building's presentation and upkeep. Ensure both Mercure and Harrigan's brand standards, policies and procedures are adhered to. Be able to manage the hotel in absence of the Manager. To be successful in this role you will Minimum of 5 years' experience in the hospitality industry, 2 of those years' experience need to be in a management leadership position. Proven leadership abilities. Strong knowledge of the hotel rooms division sector with a major brand. Previous experience with a known Property Management System. Fair knowledge of workplace relations. Previous experience in Training and Development Must be eligible to work in Australia with any visa status accepted. It would be advantageous to have the following Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or Business. An understanding of revenue and financial reporting Previous management experience in a 4/5-star property both front office and housekeeping.
