Step into a high-impact role supporting a major Federal transformation program Drive uplift and optimisation across a critical F5 environment Work with a collaborative and supportive team About the Role Our client, a large Federal Government Agency, is undertaking a significant transformation program aimed at modernising and strengthening its core infrastructure platforms. As part of this effort, they’re seeking an experienced F5 Network Engineer to play a key role in uplifting and optimising their F5 environment, while supporting ongoing operational initiatives within a high-performing engineering team. This role will see you working on an F5 uplift project, contributing to design, configuration, and implementation activities across both LTM and GTM, as well as providing expert-level support for wider network operations. You’ll also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability, scalability, and security across complex environments. Some occasional travel to the agency’s Sydney Data Centre will be required. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and support F5 load balancing solutions (LTM and GTM) across enterprise environments Develop, maintain, and optimise iRules to enhance traffic management and application performance Support broader network operations including Cisco Routing & Switching and Wireless infrastructure Contribute to project delivery outcomes in a fast-paced, transformation-focused environment Work collaboratively with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure network integrity and compliance with security and performance standards Required Skills and Experience Must be an Australian Citizen and be eligible for security clearance Proven experience working as a Senior Network Engineer within medium to large-scale environments Strong technical expertise across F5 LTM, GTM, and iRules design and deployment Solid background in Cisco Routing, Switching, and Wireless technologies Hands-on experience supporting Data Centre network environments Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Relevant industry certifications highly regarded – e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCDE, F5 Certified Technology Specialist Why Apply?
