We are looking for 2 Jettyhands to support our vessel crew - ideal for those who have an interest in a marine career looking an entry level role or just a summer or working holiday visa role. Jettyhands are our shoreside support - based at Fremantle or Rottnest that assist our passengers with luggage and preparations for boarding between vessel arrivals and departure. Working up to 12 hour days, 3-5 days per week this role requires physical fitness, as you will be handling luggage and bikes. You will need to have great customer service skills and the ability to troubleshoot and communicate with our operations teams. About the Role The Jettyhand position is an integral part of our Operations, required to work in a team environment to ensure success. The duties will include: Vessel Support: Assist with berthing and departure procedures. Load and unload bicycles and luggage from vessels. Set up jetty areas for vessel arrivals and departures. Guest Interaction: Manage guest queues and provide directions. Help guests with luggage and ensure their safety and comfort. Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries. Grounds Operations: Maintain cleanliness and organization of jetty and terminal areas. Coordinate bike fleet availability and ensure special equipment is loaded as per bookings. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the on-water team and other ground staff. Follow safety and marine procedures. About You Key requirements: Must be well presented Keen to provide a brilliant experience for our customers Focused on safety Able to perform cleaning and maintenance duties, as required A team player who works harmoniously with others High level of communication skills Available to work public holidays, weekends and evenings Able to take on extra shifts, if required These key requirements will be complimented by experience and skills in the following areas: Senior First Aid Qualification - Essential Exposure to high level customer service - Desirable Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling of luggage and bikes Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel desirable).
