The positions on offer are for clinic based work with some outreach mobile service days (servicing North, South and West Brisbane regions). One Step Two Step is a private clinic and mobile practice with its base located in Morningside. Our Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Dietician and Therapy Aides work closely together as a team providing services to children, adolescents, adults and their families. We offer individualised and holistic assessment and intervention to individuals with varying difficulties and diagnoses. We provide weekly supervision with a highly experienced Senior Speech Pathologist, Professional Development opportunities and hold regular team bonding events to support each and every member of our team. Therapy resources and the latest assessment kits are available for you to borrow. Travel reimbursement provided for outreach days. Key Responsibilities of the Speech Pathologist: Assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with a variety of needs including both formal and informal assessment. Designing individualised, family-centred and holistic therapy programs for our clients. Liaising with parents, preschool teachers, and other health professionals involved in the client's care. Clinic-, home-, preschool- and school-based assessment and intervention. Managing a clinical caseload independently with a high standard of clinical practice. Working collaboratively within a team of allied health professionals. Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and confidentiality in maintained at all times. Following the principles of the Speech Pathology Australia Code of Ethics Participating in professional development, supervision and caseload meetings. Essential Criteria for the Speech Pathology position: Qualification in Speech Pathology - Bachelor or Masters degree. Membership of Speech Pathology Australia Passion to work with children, adolescents and their families using a client-centred approach. Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills with children and parents. Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management, organisational and computer skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Current Working with Children Check.
