About the Opportunity This is an exciting new opportunity to join a diverse and dynamic Community Development and Youth Services Team. This role is responsible for leading and supporting the implementation of Council’s Vichealth Food systems grant. This will include coordinating internal and external stakeholder relationships, supporting the delivery of key partner-led food strategies, and drive initiatives that strengthen the built, natural, social, and economic environments that foster healthy eating and wellbeing. This role includes delivering high-quality and consistent standards of customer service and collaboration, maintaining strong partnerships with community groups and service providers. Key Responsibility areas for this role include: Facilitate and support local place-based food projects led by community partners that improve access to nutritious food across Mitchell and Murrindindi Shires Monitor, review, and report on project outcomes and progress to VicHealth, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, timelines, and performance indicators Lead a collaborative collective impact partnership event supporting Council's Regional Food systems partnership - Nourishing neighbourhoods Represent Council on applicable food and health network meetings Provide high quality customer service at all times with respect to the diversity and complexity of user needs in accordance with Council’s customer service charter and service standards This role is a Temporary (3 year) Part-time (0.6 EFT, 45.6 hours per fortnight) opportunity. Remuneration begins at $91.6K to $99.6K (Band 6) plus superannuation. About You You will be a highly organised and experienced individual to join our team in the Food systems officer role. The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated experience in the delivery of community development frameworks, coupled with a strong background in customer service, community engagement and partnerships. You will possess a high level of collaboration skills working with diverse stakeholders, including government and community organisations, effective budget management skills and excellent attention to detail. Our successful candidate will have strong time management skills which will enable you to prioritise effectively and manage competing requests across a range of partnerships, excellent oral and written communication skills ensuring smooth interactions with staff, service stakeholders, and the community.
