The Role We are looking for a Full time 2IC to join our amazing team in Port Macquarie, supporting the Practice Manager with the day-day general operations of running a busy multi-disciplinary medical centre. Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will manage a busy front desk reception area and ensure quality patient care whilst supporting out team of GP’s. Your Responsibilities As a vital first point of contact for our Medical Centre team, you will play a central role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include: Create a Patient-First Culture : Foster exceptional customer service that puts patients at the heart of everything we do. Championing administrative functions , such as filing, data entry, and assisting the Practice Manager with a variety of operational tasks as needed. Champion Operational Excellence : Identify challenges and lead continuous improvement initiatives that elevate clinic performance and patient outcomes. Lead & Develop Talent : Support the Practice Manager in driving onboarding, and ongoing training, building a skilled, motivated team ready to deliver their best. Accountability for Opening and closing of the Centre , ensuring all procedures are followed for a safe and efficient start and end to each day. Building and maintaining positive professional relationships with patients, medical staff, and fellow team members, contributing to a collaborative and respectful workplace culture. Ensuring compliance with all organisational policies, procedures, and health regulations, upholding the highest standards of care and confidentiality. Performing general reception duties , including maintaining a clean and organised front desk, and ensuring a professional and supportive environment for all visitors. About You We’re looking for a motivated and people-focused individual who thrives in a busy environment. Your experience, professionalism, and supportive leadership style will help shape a positive workplace culture and ensure the success of the centre. Previous team leadership experience within a customer service role is desired. Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise competing workloads. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills.
