About the role The VACCA Kinship Finding Worker will be responsible for providing overall support to the Kinship Finding Program, and to help strengthen connections for Aboriginal children and young people. The role helps to identify, find, and recommend family or kinship networks for potential care placements or contact to build relationships and keep children connected to family, culture and community. About You The role involves delivering a culturally appropriate statewide Aboriginal Kinship Finding service, supporting DFFH staff by locating and documenting kinship networks through research, community engagement, and collaboration with stakeholders. It includes preparing detailed reports with visual representations of family connections, promoting cultural ties, and participating in meetings, training, and broader team activities Desirable: Relevant degree or certifications in case management and/or therapeutic practices (i.e. Trauma-informed Care, AoD, Domestic Violence, Social Work, Community Work or other relevant areas). Requirements: Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
