We are searching for an ambitious and commercially minded Project Operations Manager to take on a rare opportunity to lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of Project Managers & Site Supervisors, whilst working closely with System Engineers in the delivery of complex digital healthcare projects in commercial construction or healthcare environments across New South Wales - making a tangible impact on patient outcomes, while contributing to the performance and innovation of our industry and business. The Opportunity: Reporting to the Client Services & Operations Manager – NSW you would be accountable for the successful planning, execution, and performance of the project portfolio within New South Wales. Specifically, the end-to-end delivery and performance of a large-scale commercial project portfolio, made up of 20 capital works projects ranging from $100K to $10M in value and 2–36 months in duration. Your role will ensure projects are delivered to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards, while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. You’ll also play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance, strengthening client partnerships, and leading local implementation of national change initiatives. These projects include both greenfield and retrofit installations within critical, high-stakes healthcare environments — from new hospitals to live site upgrades. Why Us? Strategic Leadership: Support a high-performing team to successfully deliver large-scale communications projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client needs. Project Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end design, commissioning, and installation of electronic and IT communications systems in healthcare environments, ensuring timely, quality and cost-effective delivery. Commercial Focus : Oversee project budgets, resources, and timelines, identifying opportunities to maximise efficiency and profitability. Performance Management : Implement metrics to track and evaluate team and project performance, driving a culture of accountability and success. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery, quality, and client satisfaction. Client Engagement : Act as an escalation point and key contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded. Risk and Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols. Innovation and Growth: Stay ahead of market trends and emerging technologies to position Rauland as a leader in the healthcare communications sector. Represent Territory Needs: Be the voice of the NSW team in national forums, sharing insights and aligning delivery with business goals. Championing Governance & Quality: Ensuring alignment to Rauland’s delivery frameworks, quality standards, and safety practices. What we're looking for I What will your application stand out? Proven Portfolio Leadership : Demonstrated success managing a complex program of external, multi-site projects — ideally within healthcare, construction, or technology environments. Strong Commercial Acumen : Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and driving cost-effective outcomes. Experienced People Leader: Track record of building and enabling high-performing project delivery teams. Client-Centric Communicator: Able to confidently engage with stakeholders, clients, and partners to manage delivery expectations and solutions. Technically Savvy: Knowledge of electronics, telecommunications, healthcare technology or construction-based installations preferred. Process & Quality Champion : Familiarity with project governance frameworks, ISO or similar standards, and continuous improvement methodologies. Qualifications & Certifications: Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (desirable), PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification (advantageous), Eligible to drive unsupervised in Australia, Valid Working with Children Check and General Construction Induction (White or Blue Card).
