About the role You will be co-responsible for a range of financial accounting and management accounting activities, including but not limited to reconciliations, acquittals, asset management, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. You will: contribute to the cross functional team in the execution of strategic financial priorities, ensuring alignment with the University’s strategic goals, and fostering collaboration among team members; perform a range of accounting activities aligned to business needs and strategic priorities; apply a range of expertise in the Student Finance, and Finance Systems and Reporting teams; and contribute to process improvement projects, and policy development and improvement, systems processes to drive efficiencies within the portfolio. About you You will have demonstrated knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, and how to apply them, in addition to the knowledge of accounting principles and practices and the ability to apply this knowledge in a professional environment. You will possess demonstrated: strong problem solving and analytical skills; interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders; ability to work within strict deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail; and initiative and self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
