Government & Defence provides specialised logistics expertise, including relocation services. We work with clients at all levels of government to deliver an extremely diverse range of logistics solutions - from the distribution of healthcare products, managing the relocation of their employees, delivering fleets of government vehicles, through to helicopter rescue services. About the Role - Are you ready to take the helm in coordinating marine operations that support national interests? We are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced and motivated individuals for the role of Marine Services Coordinator within a Government and Defence capacity for the berthing facility. As a Marine Services Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating marine service operations. You’ll work closely with suppliers, sub-contractors, service technicians, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant marine activities across the wharf, ports and sites. This role is ideal for someone with a strong operational mindset, excellent coordination skills, and a passion for maritime service excellence in a government or defence setting. Key Responsibilities and Duties but not limited to - Coordinate daily marine operations including vessel movements, crew logistics, Victuals Supplies, Petroleum Supplies and other port services. Ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations and protocols. Liaise with government departments, port authorities, and regulatory bodies. Maintain accurate service records, logs, and operational reports. Support marine-related projects including i supply chain and customer coordination Prepare Standard Operating Procedures for inspections and audits. Oversee ordering, Freight / cargo operations for Christmas Island Victuals deliveries from Perth Airport. What You’ll Bring - Proven experience in marine operations, logistics, or naval operations. Strong knowledge of maritime laws, health and safety standards, and marine coordination software. Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage complex schedules. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, managing systems and documentation of sensitive information. Calm under pressure with a proactive and analytical mindset.
