This role is in the DroneShield Sydney headquarters in Sydney CBD. There are approximately 320 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 400 staff by end of 2025. Overseas on the ground presence includes USA, Denmark, Mexico, and UAE, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally. About the role DroneShield is seeking a Packaging Designer with relevant experience to join the team in Sydney, NSW. The position will report to the Digital Design Lead. This role will be responsible for the design and maintenance of DroneShield's product packaging and packing process, from concept through to manufacture. Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations Design of product packaging from initial concepts through to manufacture with consideration of cost, materials, design requirements, user experience and brand consistencyPreparation of 3D CAD files and print-ready files for liaison with suppliersCreate and maintain packaging documentation, including packing manuals and packing listsReview/QC packed articlesEffectively manage multiple projects and deadlines, balancing ad-hoc requests while maintaining high-quality outputsCoordinating with various packaging suppliers, negotiating on cost, timelines and quality and quantityDocument design concepts and process for review by company stakeholdersStay up to date with trends in packaging design, sustainability practices, and materials technologyUtilise a diverse range of packaging and material types Qualifications, Experience and Skills Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design/Industrial Design, or equivalent2 years experience in 3D packaging designExperience and knowledge of packaging materials, properties and finishesExperience creating technical die lines and print-ready filesExcellent communication and collaboration skillsHigh attention to detail is a mustStrong proficiency with Solidworks and the Adobe suiteExcellent time management skillsMake sure you upload your portfolio in cover letter section when you apply.
