The Gateway Group is Australia's largest supplier of branded and non branded consumer goods, and we are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our DC based in Prestons. With multiple stakeholders and priorities this is a critical role to the business being able to execute our growth initiatives effectively. The Role We are looking for a hands-on supervisor to lead, direct and motivate our teams. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the sole purpose of this role is ensuring the warehouse is operating efficiently whilst tackling the day-to-day issues. We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor who can help the operations reach best in class Distribution for Consumer Goods. Responsibilities include Recommend improved operating policies and processes, ensure current processes are maintained and reflect best practice operations Ensure accountability through clear roles and performance plans, regular feedback and performance management Monitor and present to management team on KPI’s and other key business results. Encourage team flexibility and backup through competency development, skills training and leadership development Maintain a high-level standard of warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping Maintain and oversee all inventory related activities, including cycle counts, location audits, management of damages and reworks Maintain all safety KPIs and proactively endorse initiatives that will improve the welfare of employees Lead and oversee branch daily operations to ensure all operational plans and objectives are executed. Collate and report on all warehouse KPIs – Analyse trends and identify actions and initiatives to address poor results Maximise efficiencies and cost control through the effective management of labour planning, branch hours, agency labour overtime and absenteeism. Ensure all hours are audited daily. Maintain and monitor all MHE and ensure appropriate vehicles are available to service excessive volumes Optimise customer service levels, ensuring they are met or exceeded, as well as leading and delivering on the company's strategic logistics objectives Project manage and deliver on logistics transformation (inclusive of new technology: automation and Warehouse Management Systems). Ensure highest standard of delivery in and outbound operations, including daily pick volumes, staging and loading of vehicles.
