The CSSD Sterilising/Instrument Technician will ensure efficient service delivery of sterile products to support patient care and ensure positive clinical outcomes. The CSSD technician is responsible for the decontamination and reprocessing of instruments and equipment needed by the Operating Suite and other areas of KDHS About You Certificate 3 or 4 in Health Sterilising Services. A keen interest in the cleaning, packing and sterilisation of instruments and equipment Minimum 2 years’ experience within sterilisation services in a hospital with extensive experience in sterilising Sound knowledge of accreditation standards and experience with AS:4187, ISO and ACORN Able to work independently in a changing environment Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn Knowledge, understanding and experience with Infection Prevention and WHS standards Excellent communication skills Sound computer skills Ability to work autonomously and under pressure Knowledge of OH&S issues and safe manual handling What KDHS Can Offer You KDHS is a compassionate, family friendly employer where every employee is a valued team member.
