We are looking for a Deputy Principal to join our leadership team to lead our student-centred improvement priorities. As a senior leader your role will be to work with the leadership team to empower students to take the wheel of their learning journey. At Lanyon High, we equip students with the tools, support, and opportunities they need to navigate diverse pathways and confidently shape a future filled with success, purpose, and possibility. As part of the senior leadership team the Deputy Principal will: Co-lead the development and implementation of Multi-Tiered System of Support as part of the ACT’s Strong Foundations and student-centred improvement priorities. Lead faculty SLCs to deliver whole-school professional learning and development in curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment practices. Build staff capacity in Inclusion and Effective Instructional Teaching Strategies through evidence-informed Professional Learning Communities that meet diverse student needs. Work alongside the Principal to support staffing, recruitment, and HR with a focus on inclusive and creative solutions. Maintain a teaching load to stay connected to classroom practice and student experience. Eligibility/Other requirements: Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
