The Role We are seeking a technically strong Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team. Reporting to senior finance leaders, you’ll own month‑end and year‑end processes, financial reporting, produce clear management reporting, and drive improvements in systems and controls. This is a hands‑on role with scope to influence how accounting practices are modernised and to work closely with stakeholders across the business. Your responsibilities will include: Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, including reconciliations, journals and reporting Prepare, analyse and present financial reports to management with clarity and accuracy Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation legislation and company policy Maintain the general ledger and oversee AP/AR activity as required Support budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management activities Liaise with auditors, external advisors and internal stakeholders to support reporting and compliance Drive process improvements and contribute to the modernisation and automation of accounting practices About You Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; CA/CPA qualified or progressing towards membership Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience in a similar, commercially focused role Strong month‑end and financial reporting experience with high attention to detail Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookup formulas, data analysis) Proficient with cloud-based accounting systems and comfortable learning new platforms Strong commercial mindset with the ability to interpret financial results and articulate insights to stakeholders Proven track record of improving processes and implementing practical accounting solutions Excellent communication skills and ability to work to tight deadlines in a collaborative team environment On Offer A broad and challenging role with ownership across accounting and reporting Exposure to a growing business with multiple service lines Opportunity to modernise processes and drive system improvements Collaborative, flexible, and supportive team culture Competitive salary and long-term career potential Apply Now If you have any further questions, feel free to contact Jani Peut in the Perigon Group Brisbane Office on 0401 295 585 or email jani.peut@perigongroup.com.au or apply now by clicking on the button below.
