Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital We are currently seeking Casual Patient Services Assistants to join our Environmental Services Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care by providing essential support services to clinical staff. Your contribution will be integral to fostering a collaborative, patient-focused environment. The Position: Under supervision, responsible for assisting with transporting of patients and equipment. Assisting to feed patients when requested by nursing staff and preparing snack meals when catering staff is absent Responsible for cleaning kitchen and fridge and distributing patient trays, meals and menus Strip sanitising beds and remake after discharge of patients Cleaning, tidying and sanitising of ward area Checking inventory of oxygen and suction equipment, replacing as necessary after discharge and checking of oxygen cylinders Maintaining stock levels in cleaners’ room and trolley and reporting on faulty equipment You will effectively prioritise work with minimal supervision and the ability to work as part of a team in an environment of change. In addition, you will have well developed communication and people skills and the ability to interact respectfully with patients in a confident and positive manner. Patient care will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values. We can offer you Casual Rate : $38.49 to $39.86 (inclusive of loading), plus 12% superannuation. Casual position As a casual employee, you can salary package a percentage of your earnings each pay period.
