About this role: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanic to join our team. The role involves servicing and maintaining a variety of vehicles and equipment used in our operations. The ideal candidate will be reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently. Key Responsibilities Perform logbook servicing and scheduled maintenance on light and heavy vehicles. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues across a range of vehicles and equipment. Identify, source, and order spare parts as required. Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards. Provide mechanical support to other Tiwi Enterprises operations as needed. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the workshop. Skills: Mechanical Trade qualifications Valid NT driver's licence Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic for diesel and petrol vehicles and small motors Vehicle Registration renewal licence or the ability to obtain Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic components of vehicles Tyre fitting experience Proven good communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to engage self with the community (community awareness) Attention to detail Ability to multitask and adapt to challenges Knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of equal employment opportunity, workplace health and safety, environmental management and risk management and an ability to apply them to the work practices. Desirable: Outboard motor knowledge Small engine repair qualifications G-scan diagnostic knowledge Air-conditioning ticket an advantage but not compulsory. (TE have this trade employed) Welding - alloy & steel. Experience with heavy machinery repairs an advantage.
