You’ll be joining the data team responsible for analytics, reporting, and risk insight. The data and insights this team produces informs compliance and regulatory confidence. The team is Geographically dispersed but growing quickly to deliver the agency’s top priority: lifting data maturity and capability. The Role As a data analyst you will: Tackle more complex, discovery-style data requests, exploring compliance and audit datasets Identify linkages across multiple data sources to draw conclusions and test scenarios (“If we make this change, what will be the impact?”) Transform and analyse data to uncover insights that inform regulatory decisions Understand the business problem and come up with the solution not just report a number Communicate insights clearly, telling the story with data and influencing stakeholders Uplifting the data capability of the team The Ideal Person You bring strong technical skills and a curiosity to dig into data, ask the right questions, and improve processes. Specifically: Proficiency in SQL (joins, queries, optimisation, integration across sources) Experience building and maintaining Power BI datasets and flows Strong analytical mindset, able to link datasets and uncover meaningful insights Confidence engaging business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into effective solutions Supporting the data growth and development of more junior staff Due to the nature of the work Australian Citizenship and existing Baseline clearance is mandatory Salary / Rate $97k $105k 15.4% Super This role is being offered as initial 12 month non-ongoing position s26 transfer options including the ability to A/g will be considered How to Apply To apply online, please click on the appropriate link.
