Field Service Technician – Laser Cutting & Industrial Machinery Location: Sydney, NSW Included: Company Car Phone Provided Full-Time | Permanent Role Are you mechanically skilled and tech-savvy with hands-on experience repairing, installing, servicing, and maintaining fiber laser cutting machines? We’re seeking a motivated Service Technician for our Sydney team to manage fiber lasers and related industrial machinery like press brakes, linishing machines, and CO₂ laser cutters. You’ll be the go-to expert—handling equipment faults, training users, troubleshooting complex issues, and providing ongoing support. Direct experience with fiber laser cutters is essential, and while training on our product range is provided, a strong background in laser cutter and industrial machine maintenance is required. Key Responsibilities: Repair, install, service, and maintain fiber laser cutters, press brakes, and other industrial equipment Train customers on operation, safety, and software for laser cutting and related machinery Troubleshoot mechanical and software faults during installation and ongoing servicing Assist with test pieces, optimize machine settings, and provide expert customer support Manage service bookings, providing phone and email technical support Demonstrate machinery capabilities to prospective clients in the showroom Write user guides, troubleshooting manuals, and technical documentation What You’ll Need: Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience repairing, installing, servicing, and maintaining laser cutting machinery, especially fiber lasers Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to physically manage installations Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills Experience with CAD software or graphic design tool s is a plus Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Email) Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills Positive, motivated attitude with a strong willingness to learn and develop Current driver’s licence Why Join Us?
