About the opportunity The Interior Design Consultant reports to the Design Studio Manager and is part of the MyChoice Design team servicing Brighton Homes. In this highly rewarding role, your focus will be to provide our clients with a comprehensive understanding of the interior and external products available within our product range. More specifically, your responsibilities will include: •Working closely with clients from initial walk through, selection and electrical appointment •Ensuring customer satisfaction by providing product support and guidance to suit their style •Providing a customised approach for selecting interior and external details, materials, colour selections, flooring selections, lighting/electrical, space planning, and detailing •Interpreting client needs and completing detailed design concepts and contract documents •Writing specifications covering interior design matters •Provide on the spot pricing and estimating for selected product •Working collaboratively and coordinating work with other disciplines •Effectively utilising available technology to accurately record all revisions and reselections About you To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the purpose and core values of MyChoice Design Studio and NEX Group along with: •Solid experience in colour consulting ideally within the residential building industry •Commitment to providing excellence in customer service •Demonstrated design aesthetic and strong conceptual skills •An ability to read and understand floor plans and housing contracts •Certificate in Interior Design and Decoration or other relevant tertiary qualification •Demonstrated attention to detail and strong record keeping, planning and organising •Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation, codes and industry trends •Willingness to work Saturday’s when required Interested?
