About The Role We're looking for a dedicated Platform Screen Door (PSD) Maintainer to help ensure the smooth and safe operation of Melbourne's rail network. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the power and PSD systems that support train movement and passenger safety. Your work will include preventative and reactive maintenance, asset renewals, installations, and other essential tasks that keep our infrastructure running reliably. What You'll Be Doing As a Platform Screen Door (PSD) Maintainer, you'll play a key role in keeping our network safe and operational by: Performing preventative and reactive maintenance on power and PSD systems. Supporting asset renewals, installations, and fault investigations. Using elevated work platforms when required. Ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations, and MTM policies. Conducting risk assessments and maintaining safe work practices. Monitoring equipment performance and contributing to continuous improvement. Working across high and low voltage systems under supervision and as part of a team. About You You're a qualified Electrical Tradesperson with a current "A" Class Electrical Licence, and you bring a solid background in electrical maintenance within industrial or infrastructure environments. You take pride in your ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex systems, and you're confident working both independently and as part of a team. A current "A" Class Electrical Licence and qualification as an Electrical Tradesperson. Proven experience in electrical maintenance within industrial or similar environments. Knowledge of electrical automation/PLC systems and the vertical transport industry (desirable). Certification in Track Safety Awareness (Level 1) and First Aid (Level 2) (preferred). Rail Safety Competency (desirable). Strong ability to interpret complex electrical drawings and circuitry. Solid understanding of OHS&E legislation, AS3000, and safe working practices. Willingness to night shift, overtime, and participate in an on-call roster. A valid manual Victorian Driver's Licence Why work for Metro?
