The key duties of the position include The Role This is a unique opportunity to join the Naval Representative team within Submarines Division. This position will suite someone who thrives in a team dynamic, with an eye for detail who can communicate effectively. The Collins Class Submarine Naval Representative Team is seeking a person with good judgement, adaptability and enthusiasm to work as a project support officer. You will work in a small team in an integrated workforce, providing a range of administrative and business support tasks. You will also support field operations as a Naval Representative understudy. You will be accountable under limited direction to coordinate resources, support the conduct of activities, manage risks and facilitate effective communications within the team and with external partners. Note: The ideal candidate will be able to maintain the corporate knowledge for this permanent position in order to provide continuity for the counterpart RAN position between personnel postings. The successful candidate may be required to undertake work on and be provided with technical information pertaining to defence articles of United States of America (US) origin. About our Team The Collins Submarine Program within the Naval Shipbuilding & Sustainment Group (NSSG) is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrades of Australia's Collins Class Submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability to the nation.
