About the role On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking a dedicated, self-driven and highly organized Sheetmetal Worker to be part of their growing team. You will be is primarily responsible for working with sheet metal and other similar materials for ductwork and HVAC unit installation. Duties and Responsibilities Reviewing and interpreting sketches and technical drawings to identify material, tools and methods that will meet the approved specifications and quality standards Recommending or selecting suitable metal materials or properties to ensure appearance, gauge, thickness, size, shape and strength to meet the required specifications Measuring, laying out and marking Sheetmetal according to template and specifications Liaising with external duct manufacturers, providing accurate site measurements, inspecting delivered materials, and modifying components on-site Performing routine and unplanned maintenance on Sheetmetal products Degreasing, descaling and smoothing rough and uneven edges of assembled metal products to improve appearance and quality of finished products Identifying and addressing any damage to Sheetmetal products and components, undertaking necessary repairs to restore functionality and structural integrity Essential Skills Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, sketches and specifications Extensive knowledge of various metal materials, their properties and applications Strong fabrication skills, including cutting, bending and stamping techniques Proficiency in installing and assembling Sheetmetal products using various techniques Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team Qualifications needed: Minimum Certificate level or equivalent relevant work experience Minimum two years of work experience on relevant position What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Opportunities for professional growth and training A supportive and dynamic work environment Work on exciting projects with cutting-edge technology Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000-$95,000 plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
