About NAPCo The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) was founded in 1877 and is one of Australia's leading beef cattle companies, managing over 6.1 million hectares, largest single herd in the world and home to Five Founders Beef. Kynuna Station, QLD Kynuna Station is located in North Queensland between Cloncurry and Winton, an area rich in history. Kynuna sits at the headwaters of Diamantina River, spanning approx. 140,000 hectares of predominately rolling Mitchell Grass country. The role We are currently looking for a Station Cook to join our crew at Kynuna Station in a permanent full-time position. You will need to be organised, friendly, and most importantly, a great cook that has a passion for cooking hearty and nutritious meals! Day to day duties include : Cooking tasty, nutritious, home-style meals for approx. 10 station employees and guests on occasion Menu planning and preparing the grocery list to order and maintain adequate supplies Ensuring the kitchen, dining, recreation rooms, BBQ area and food storage areas are kept clean and tidy Maintaining kitchen utensils and cooking equipment in good order Some general homestead help to assist with cleaning, guest rooms, bathrooms, Rec/BBQ area. Ideally the successful candidate will have/be: Have experience in a similar role, cooking for live-in groups and providing meals to schedule Have a passion for producing quality, wholesome and nutritious food Be a self-starter that has excellent time management and organisation skills Have an understanding of food hygiene practices Have the ability to work in a safe manner Enjoy the unique lifestyle a remote cattle station offers Be motivated, show enthusiasm and have a great attitude towards what you do!
