Who are we looking for? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Head of Flying Operations – Part 135 to join our growing team. Your role: In this role, your key responsibilities will include: Leading and supporting flight operations to ensure compliance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR) Guiding and mentoring pilots and crew to maintain the highest safety and performance standards Managing daily operational oversight, including crewing, scheduling, and flight planning Collaborating with training and checking teams to uphold pilot proficiency and company standards Driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and teamwork The essential requirements: Commercial Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) with Class 1 aviation medical Minimum of 2,500 total flight hours with turbine experience At least 6 months’ management experience in air transport operations In-depth understanding of CASR Parts 119 and 135 Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills Eligible to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) Additional qualifications: Previous CASA approval as HOFO, Chief Pilot, or other key personnel role (desirable) Experience as Pilot-in-Command on King Air, PC-12, or Cessna Caravan aircraft Flight instruction, training, or checking experience Tertiary qualifications in aviation or management What’s in it for you?
