Part-Time Position (12-month contract) – Commencing Term 1, 2026 We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Early Childhood Educator with a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care to join our team in a part-time capacity, working with our three-year-old group. What We’re Looking For: A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent). Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A genuine love of working with children. A commitment to ongoing professional learning and participation in staff meetings. A passion for being part of a supportive community preschool. ✨ Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Early Childhood Teachers to develop and deliver a high-quality, play-based program that reflects the needs of our children, families, and preschool philosophy. Create and maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and culturally respectful environment. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including stepping into the role of Nominated Supervisor or Person in Day-to-Day Charge as required. Share responsibility for program-related housekeeping tasks, including preparation, hygiene, safety, and clean-up. Actively contribute to our Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Collaborate with the Committee of Management and colleagues to ensure a safe work environment. Supervise and support staff, volunteers, and students in the program. Child Safety and Wellbeing Responsibilities As part of our Child Safe Organisation, you will: Uphold a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children. Promote children’s rights, voices, and autonomy. Follow all child protection laws, policies, and reporting obligations. Build safe, respectful, and culturally responsive relationships with children and families. Participate in ongoing child safety training and reflective practice. Why South Mornington Preschool?
