DescriptionSedgman is in the process of recruiting for a skilled Mechanical Designer with hands-on experience on projects ranging from conceptual design to detailed engineering. This position involves working on a diverse array of projects across the Mineral Processing industry. You'll be involved in the entire design process, from concept to detailed design, with a clear focus on Mechanical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
- Ability to take an engineering concept and convert it into a 3D design.
- Check drafting deliverables for accuracy, completeness and adherence to design specifications & intent.
- Apply attention and diligence to uphold quality standards, and client requirements, to complete tasks efficiently.
- Create 3D designs from complex, multidiscipline engineering concepts.
About You
- 3-7 years of industry experience in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industries.
- A strong understanding of relevant Australian standards.
- Experience with projects from conceptual design through to detailed engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D or occasional MicroStation 2D
- Proficiency in AutoDesk 3D modelling programs, such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, Advanced Steel, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Vault and Plant3D
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Previous skills or interests to expand into SMP design
- Willingness to adapt to a changing role
- Pointcloud Scanning skill are a perk but not required
- Proven skills in Advanced Steel
- AutoCAD Plant 3D Spec Development is desirable but not essential.
- AutoCAD Plant 3D Smart PID integration is desirable but not essential.
