PURPOSE OF THE ROLEAs a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating IT and business projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This includes defining project objectives, developing detailed plans, managing resources and risks, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDefine project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with business strategy, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.Develop and maintain detailed project plans, actions and issues registers, and communication materials using standard project management tools and methodologies.Estimate and manage resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of project tasks and milestones.Monitor and manage project scope, risks, issues, and changes using formal change control processes and contingency planning.Track and report on project performance using appropriate tools and metrics, escalating issues to senior management as required.Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining quality standards.Facilitate project meetings, document decisions and actions, and follow up to ensure accountability and progress.Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, risk logs, and resource tracking.Foster a collaborative and supportive project team environment that encourages engagement, ownership, and high performance.Prioritise tasks and manage competing demands in consultation with senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.Contribute to the continuous improvement of NPC’s project management framework, tools, templates, and best practices by sharing insights, feedback, and lessons learned from project delivery. POSITION REQUIREMENTSEssential Experience & SkillsMinimum 3 years of experience coordinating or managing IT/business projects (e.g. software, transformation, infrastructure).Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello) and MS Office.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills.Strong analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured documentation, reports, and stakeholder communications tailored to diverse audiences.QualificationsProject Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification (preferred but not essential)Tertiary qualification in Project Management, IT, or a related discipline (preferred).
