About the Role This role is central to driving informed decision-making at Midland Brick through the provision of commercial and operational analytics. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining dynamic Power BI dashboards and tailored analytical reports that support business strategy and performance. With a focus on continuous improvement and innovation in data visualization, this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact across the business. Key responsibilities of the role are but not limited to: Provide commercial and operational analytics to support decision-making Validate management strategies with data-driven insights Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards Create analytical reports tailored to business needs Ensure accuracy and consistency across all reporting tools Build scalable reporting solutions for various departments Maintain integrity of data sources across systems Collate data from multiple Midland Brick business platforms Support cross-functional teams with relevant analytics Clean and transform raw data into actionable formats Monitor performance metrics and business KPIs Collaborate with stakeholders to refine reporting requirements Conduct ad hoc analysis to address emerging business questions Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes Drive innovation in data visualization and reporting tools Skills and Experience Demonstrated flexibility and resilience in high-pressure environments Hands-on approach to delivering effective business support Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the business Naturally curious with a passion for continuous learning and development Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines Role Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting Minimum 5 years’ experience in business or data analytics Proficiency in ETL processes and SQL; basic Python knowledge preferred Solid accounting background is essential Advanced Microsoft Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Power Query, Pivot Tables) Experience working with ERP platforms Basic understanding of process flow and documentation About the Company The iconic Midland Brick is one of BGC Australia’s well-known and trusted brands and supplies bricks, pavers, blocks and roof tiles to thousands of building and construction companies and individuals.
