We are currently looking for reliable, loyal and hard-working Catering Assistants, Sandwich Hands and Baristas to work for us on a casual basis at K Café - Karralyka’ s café offering at locations across Ringwood and Croydon including Aquanation, Aquahub and Maroondah Federation Estate. K Café is owned by Maroondah City Council and operates 7 days per week between 7am - 6pm. We are looking for team members who have the flexibility to work across a range of shift am/afternoon times and at all our K Café venues, as well availability on both days of weekend being essential to be employed at Kcafe. To be a suitable applicant you must have proven experience working in hospitality venues in either a food preparation or barista position. You will have the desire to go above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer service and will do so through recognising, anticipating and fulfilling guest's needs. You will also be able to multi-task, have a positive 'can do' attitude, thrive in a team environment and have a flexible approach to your work. Your other skills and experience: Customer service experience Understanding of safe food handling practices and knowledge of HACCP guidelines Familiarity with the operation of all commercial kitchen equipment Understanding of stock controls Immaculate personal presentation & grooming Impeccable attention to detail TAFE or equivalent qualification in commercial cookery - highly desirable!
