The Role – Contract Administrator You will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a $600M Defence project by managing the contractual and financial aspects from start to finish. You will join an established team based on site in Sydney’s west. A prequalification for the role is that you have worked on Defence contracts before Key responsibilities include: Preparing and administering head contracts and subcontract agreements Managing procurement, variations, progress claims and payment schedules Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and risk management frameworks Providing accurate cost reporting, forecasting and commercial advice to the Project Manager and wider team Building strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, clients and internal stakeholders Supporting dispute resolution and negotiation to achieve fair, timely outcomes About You To thrive in this role, you will bring: Proven experience as a Contract Administrator within tier one or two sector with demonstrated experience on Defence Solid knowledge of Australian Standard forms of contract (AS2124, AS4000, GC21 etc.) Strong financial acumen and reporting skills, with attention to detail Excellent negotiation and communication abilities A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced project environment A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Construction Law or a related discipline What’s on Offer Opportunity to work with a Tier 2 national contractor on complex and high-profile projects Professional growth – career pathways into Senior CA, Commercial Manager or Project Manager Competitive salary package aligned with experience ($180K - $200K ) 5 year pipeline with strong tender pipeline A workplace that values innovation, respect, and sustainability If you meet the above criteria and would like to learn more about this opportunity, please submit your application below or contact Carmel Jones, Associate Director, on 0428 433 876 or via email at carmel.jones@cgcrecruitment.com
