Wage Award: National wage Award Mode: Full time = 38 hours per week Period of Apprenticeship: 12 months Training: Certificate II in Construction Location: Cooranbong and surrounding suburbs of Tuggerah Lake Macquarie Wyong DESCRIPTION: Carry out tasks related to the Construction trade, in a factory environment under the supervision of qualified trades persons. Attend off the job trade school to complete learning and assessment outcomes required for a construction traineeship. DUTIES: Material Handling : Loading, unloading, and moving raw materials, tools, and finished products safely and efficiently. Machinery Operation : Operating and monitoring various types of plant and machinery under the guidance of experienced workers. Assisting with site preparation: Helping to get the construction area ready for work to begin. Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and the worksite to ensure a safe and organized environment. Training and development: Actively participating in training and self-development activities to achieve the required qualification. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: A willingness to develop skills and knowledge in this trade Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual labour for extended periods Be a safe confident worker Willingness to travel CI Card (White Card) (or be willing to obtain prior to starting) Enjoy practical and manual work Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively Minimum of year 10 schooling A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL IDEALLY: Domestic building experience / exposure to a jobsite Be reliable, enthusiastic and willing to work as part of a team.
