Part-Time Contract 15 hours per week Aboriginal identified position $69,868 - $75,699 per annum (pro rata) Total Effective Package $89,036 - $95,655 About the role The Research Assistant assists the Congress Research team to engage the community in research activities. This position has a particular focus on recruiting participants and collecting research data, as well as supporting the research team with other tasks as needed. To be considered for this position, you will require: Is of Aboriginal descent; identifies as an Aboriginal person; and is accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal communit y Certificate-level qualification (or working towards) in a relevant discipline (e.g. health science, community service, social science or public health) or relevant experience Demonstrated work or voluntary experience in a relevant field Willingness to learn research skills, including the ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with other ethical requirements General computer literacy, including basic typing, email and word processing skills Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations and to safely move boxes up to 16kg weight What we offer: Congress offers rewarding career options and a wide range of employee benefits including: Work that is community-led, impact-focused and a part of the bigger picture.
