We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, organising, and implementing engaging leisure and lifestyle activities that cater to the interests and needs of our clients. You will play a key role in fostering a lively and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring our clients enjoy a high quality of life. This is a 12 month maternity leave cover. The opportunity: Physical ability to undertake the work tasks required of the role. Empathy and understanding of the needs, rights and responsibilities experienced by the frail elderly and their families. Ability to plan, implement and evaluate an effective activity program for care recipients. Ability to develop, implement and evaluate individualised leisure and lifestyle plans. Basic understanding of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) and associated documentation processes. Ability to work in a flexible manner as part of a support team. Effective time management skills and the ability to work independently to plan and organise work to ensure completion of work to required standards and within prescribed time frame. Demonstrated understanding of continuous improvement principles What you’ll need: Well-developed communication (oral and written) and listening skills. Demonstrated computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, email, and data entry system. An understanding of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. National Police Check (within the last 3 months). Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration with NDIS endorsement. Vaccination evidence (or medical practitioner approved exemption) of influenza and Covid-19.
